SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (August 8, 2017) — Hometown Health Centers (HHC), the only not-for-profit, federally qualified health center in Schenectady County, will host its 42nd annual HealthFest Thursday, Aug. 31 from noon to 3 p.m.
The free community event, which will take place rain or shine and is open to the general public, will be held in the parking lot of HHC’s Schenectady facility at 1044 State Street, Schenectady.
“Since its founding in 1970, Hometown Health Centers has provided comprehensive primary medical, dental and behavioral health services to more than 60,000 patients each year at its Schenectady facility,” said Hometown Health Center CEO Joe Gambino. “HealthFest provides us with a wonderful opportunity to give back to the local community and thank them for their support.”
Sponsored by Fidelis Care, the health-focused festival features an array of family activities, including free food, free health screenings and health education booths, giveaways, kids’ activities, music and prizes.
